ACT Training on CD
Advocacy Core Training CD
Certified rape crisis centers in Florida will soon be receive an Advocacy Core Training CD. FCASV developed the ACT CD as a cost-effective, user-friendly alternative to onsite training. The CD provides staff and volunteers with immediate access to training, the flexibility to fit the training into their busy work day and the independence to manage their own training schedules. The CD contains new material, video role plays and interviews, worksheets and activities. The training also incorporates four hours of face-to-face role-plays and activities led by supervisors. FCASV looks forward to your participation and feedback on the new ACT training.
Completion of the ACT CD will satisfy the FCASV certification standard requiring all rape crisis center direct service staff and volunteers to complete 30 hours of FCASV ACT within 30 days of starting an advocacy position. To prepare for the transition to computer-based training, certified centers will be receiving an invitation to join the FCASV webinar on July 29th at 10:00 a.m EST. "Introduction to the Advocacy Core Training (ACT) CD." For more information on the ACT CD contact Donna Brown, FCASV Technical Assistance Coordinator.
