FCASV Insight: Summer 2010
Many of Florida’s
rape crisis centers participated in Lauren Book-Lim's “Walk in My Shoes” 500
mile journey across the state this April. Lauren walked from Aventura,
where she was first victimized, to the Capitol to draw attention to the issue of
sexual violence and the need to support legislation to help victims. FCASV served on the organizing
committee and was proud to help host Lauren when she reached the Capitol. FCASV celebrated SAAM accomplishments with a slideshow at our annual awards luncheon.
