FCASV provides trainings for advocates and attorneys on varied legal issues relevant to sexual assault survivors. Some of the topics discussed in previous trainings include employment and housing, immigration, protection orders, prisoners' rights, and the university disciplinary process. Mandatory Reporting Webinar
Ebony Tucker, Esq., FCASV’s Legal Assistance to Victims Project Director, hosted a webinar on Mandatory Reporting August 27th from 10-11 am EDT. The training focused on when to make reports of abuse and how privilege and confidentiality laws affect making reports to Florida Department of Children and Families. There was also a discussion of DCF abuse hotline procedures and the statutes related to mandatory reporting.
