Director of Operations
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provides strategic leadership of the organization’s operations. The Director of Operations is responsible for continuous assessment of FCASV’s operations with the goal of increasing efficiency and effectiveness, including identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing and implementing systems, while facilitating comprehensive and accurate communication between the program, training, and administrative teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide strategic leadership in identifying opportunities to increase efficiency in all areas of FCASV’s operations.
• Establish and maintain professional and timely communication with vendors on behalf of FCASV for services including office supplies and equipment, information technology and network administration, copying/printing, cellular and VOIP telephones, internet, facility maintenance, pest control, janitorial, postage meter, express and bulk shipping, printer/copier/scanner, document shredding, commercial printing, garbage and recycling, rental car, water, and security system.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and maximize the impact of operational expenditures in alignment with FCASV’s mission, provide recommendations to and review with the leadership team.
• Research and incorporate local, state, and federal regulations into all office policies, procedures, and systems developed.
• Assist the Director of Compliance with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and off-boarding processes.
• With the Deputy Director, identify and support development initiatives to increase the organization’s ability to meet and exceed deliverables.
• Assist the Deputy Director, Director of Compliance, Director of Legal Services and General Counsel, and SANE Training and Sustainability Project Director with volunteer recruitment, orientation, management, and supervision.
• Develop and implement processes that ensure FCASV’s compliance with state and federal requirements in matters impacting operations.
• Assist with the agency’s grant writing efforts, including budget development.
• Identify and participate in regular professional development opportunities.
• Embody the values, philosophy, and integrity needed to lead at a coalition level.
• In collaboration with key FCASV staff, contribute to training development as needed.
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to further FCASV’s mission and strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, health services, public administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative leadership within a nonprofit organization.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the movement to end sexual violence; work that includes interfacing with direct sexual violence service providers is preferred.
A proven history in assessing organizational systems, identifying inefficiencies, and improving operational effectiveness.
Strong people skills and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
SALARY: $70,000-$85,000/annually
BENEFITS: health care, dental care, group life insurance, 40-hour work week with paid lunch hour, 401(k), annual leave, sick leave, nine annual holidays, one personal day, and four floating holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary, constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as copier/scanner, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with coworkers, funders, forensic nurse examiners, certified rape crisis program staff, and law enforcement and other allied professionals, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the workplace to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. and may need to lift boxes of materials that weigh up to 20 lbs. This job requires the ability to travel to and from various locations within the State of Florida.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is that of a typical indoor office with windows, with some staff in the office five days/week and others working remotely some or all the time.
