The Advocate Working Group is designed for individuals providing advocacy services within rape crisis programs to come together and share ideas, concerns, and needs. This will provide a space for members to discuss challenging cases, share new ideas, and prioritize self-care. This group is open to any certified advocate providing advocacy services to survivors of sexual violence. This includes dual center advocates who answer hotlines or provide services to sexual assault survivors within shelters.
There is no set structure or training topic, but instead, it is an open space for advocates to join and discuss what is most pressing at the moment. Please feel free to share with colleagues as appropriate.
